Prayer Request

Please pray for our team and leaders as many are suffering with colds, allergies, and loss of voices. Exhaustion also plays into our health :)

April 25 TRUST...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all  your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight." Prov. 3:5-6

Last night we focused on trust...we started with a "trust walk" in partners around the facilities.

Katya, Sarah, and Eric shared how they learned to trust the Lord in difficult situations. We then had a skit called "Trust Fall" done by Becca and Jesse. I am not sure the video will work but I'm giving it a try!

As we went to worship our plans for then night were to break into our groups and discuss salvation, but God had other plans!! Pascal wanted to share his testimony and how God is leading him through a trial. As he shared the room was silent, we went into more worship, then our breakout groups. When we came together there were two boys from Enderby that gave their lives to the Lord!!! We celebrated with them, continued in worship and small groups to allow discussions as the Lord led. Praise Him for His mighty works.

In my devotional this morning I read..."let go completely. trust. live with it all in an open hand before God, Jesus promises he WILL work it out, i do believe for you, always...a new sunrise."

Today is another full day, our last before pack up and a bus ride to Heathrow Airport on Saturday morning. Pray for open hearts, broken hearts, as we tie it all together.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13
A few nights ago, while we were still with our host homes, my host parent shared her life verse with me. Today during praise and worship, one of the worship leaders was describing how our god is not a God of "just enough" but rather a God of "immeasurably more". More and more throughout this trip, I'm seeing how our God truly fills us with hope and completes us in Him. This verse is also a prayer for other believers. As we are on this retreat getting to know and love other members of the body of Christ, we pray and hope that they overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thursday, April 24 Non-Stop Activities

As I write I can hear our worship team starting off our day..."Holy, holy, holy the Lord God almighty..." we are praising Him as He continues to help us continue on this ministry that is 24/7 as our teens eat, sleep, study, and have down time with their groups. "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fails. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

We thank God that Pascal is on the mend, feeling better from a virus. His words this morning are, "God is great and praise Him for healing!"

Plans for the now until Saturday: Bible  sessions, skits, worship, football match(first one yesterday), and more games. Pray for connections, trust, and decisions for Christ to be Lord of their lives.

The sun is coming out, the birds are singing and Pastor Rick is leading the talk. Thank you for your prayers and please continue to keep us before the throne.

Our first activity to get to know each other and
introduce our retreat theme:
Jesus the Good Shepherd

In teams, they had to listen for the voice of their "shepherd"
to find a particular color ball on the floor.

Each session our worship teams leads us to His throne
to prepare for the "talk" and break-out group discussions.

Hillhouse is set in Somerset, and is surrounded
by God's beauty.

Hillhouse was a family estate, not the main building houses
our teens for with the youth from Enderby Church

Dining Hall is set and cleaned up by teams of youth
and our meals are wonderful!

Natalie, Ana and Pascal introducing a special activity to build trust and
unity within breakout groups.

Breakout groups are essential to the teaching and growth
of our students and the youth. Relational evangelism is our
ministry for this trip.
